My Wish List for August

I must say that I have really been in a "wanting" mood lately. It is absolutely insane! Here are a few items that I've been feeling lately.

DC18 Dyson Slim Retail Price: $469

Yes! I would not stop until I had one of these vacuums in my possession. Since I've had it, it's been a field day on my carpet. I love it. It works wonders. Even if I vacuum everyday, it always seems to pick up something new. Who knew that carpet held so much....stuff? I'll admit, this machine is a little pricey and it's kinda small but Dyson really delivered on their promise with this one. I'd highly recommend it.

LG Voyager Retail price (directly from LG): $409

This is my new phone that I am so in love with. It is offered through the Verizon Wireless network. Of course, its price is a lot cheaper going through Verizon Wireless so that $409.00 even surprised me that LG is actually trying to sell it directly for that, but oh well. When I chose this phone, I was so overdue for a new phone and I got tired of everyone else having the funky phones and me have something that was so....2006ish. So I wanted something that had the likeness of an iPhone but on the Verizon network and this fit the bill. I text a lot so being able to have my touch screen on the exterior and flip it open to do my texting gave me the best of both worlds. Love, love love this phone!

Tiffany 1837 Tag Pendant Retail Price: $ 250

This necklace has been a part of my "wantings" lately. I really look forward to putting this around my neck. In addition to it being a Tiffany & Co. piece of course, I think this item is simple, clean and neutral and at the same time classy for a guy. I think it's going to achieve that look that I like when I wear certain necklaces.....you know...giving my neck that dainty look. LOL Don't hate!

Tiffany 1837 I.D. Bracelet Retail Price: $475

Wouldn't it just be lovely to pair this bracelet with that necklace? I mean, what can I say? I want it! This is another neutral piece in my opinion. I can see this being one of those everyday items and not to mention making my wrist look...come on...say it with me....."dainty". LOL

Mark Nason Cowboy Boots Retail Price: $385

These boots just scream my name! Pair these with some fancy jeans and you've got yourself a "get-up". I haven't seen many boots with the likeness of these boots in the past couple years that I've been into like that but these boots speak to me. I'd just hope that they have a narrow cut to them because I don't do bulky.

BMW 335xi Coupe MSRP: $43,000

I've been admiring this car for awhile now and I would so love to go into the fall/winter in this vehicle. This is a BAD car. That MSRP makes the car seem more obtainable but you wouldn't easily find a 335xi at that price. By the time options and packages are added, nothing less than $50k is expected. Umm...I can smell that new leather now! (Speaking it into existence!)

That's all folks!

My Wish List for June

The wish list for this month has finally arrived! I've compiled some items for the month of June that peaked my interest and would be lovely to have for summer.

First on my list

Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Miami Florida Rates $199-$929 per night

I never knew there were so many options for vacations. I'm still exploring the countless vacation destinations before I make a decision and set out for it. How great would it be to have great hotel accommodations in a great location and a room with a great view? If you're looking for vacation ideas, you can find something that fits you no matter your budget.

Next for this month is

Burberry Large Duffel Bag Retail Price $845

In conjunction with that lovely trip to a Conrad Hotel, I'd want to have this piece in-tow with me. I first saw this duffle bag with the Burberry given name "duffel" on an episode of Will & Grace. With most individuals mostly leaning to other brands for luggage such as Gucci and LV, I think this would be a bit different and slightly more subtle. Anyway, I love it and I'd like to have it!

Continuing my Burberry love fest...

Burberry Striped Strap Watch Retail Price $595

I wasn't even up on the fact that Burberry made watches and although I saw a few others that I really liked, this one seemed to have more of a summer feel to me. This watch comes across with such neutrality in my opinion. I see a white tee and jeans or to dinner in this watch. Simple, yet stylish.

Another fun summer toy...

2008 BMW 6 Series Convertible MSRP $82,700

"Yeeeeeeees...Yeeeeeees....My soul..my sooooul saaaays yeeeeesss!" Now I'd cancel the trip and the Burberry merchandise for this one here! Oh, Yes Sir! If I was the owner of this car, I'd LIVE for the summer...just to let that top down and be fly! Give me this and my Discipline album and I'm all set! By the way, who's going to the concert?

Last but not least

Life Beyond Measure: Letters to My Great-Granddaughter by Sydney Portier Retail Price $25.95
I normally try not to end my list without having a book, magazine or some piece of literature. I have not read this book yet but it has been laying in my den for the past month or so. I can tell that I'm growing because I'm now beginning to seek life lessons even more where ever they can be found. I'm hoping that this book has something for me. I look forward to it.

I hope that each of you are enjoying your summer thus far. Do something different and fun. If that doesn't work, as I heard someone say the other day, "If you can't do great things, do small things but in a great way!"

Now, in peace and blessings...go live!

My Wish List for May

It's that time again! Here's what's on my mind this month!

First on the list is..

Gucci Basic Bi-fold Wallet Retail Price: $230

As my first ever Gucci product, I must say that I am very pleased with this wallet. The elastic band with the signature pattern makes this wallet flat enough to slip in your back pocket (although I don't carry it there) or in your hand. It also keeps the contents snug and in place. I love it.

Next on the list is..

Tiffany Atlas Open Ring in 18k White Gold Retail Price: $975

I have been in love with this ring since I first saw it in the store and slipped it on my finger. It was absolutely gorgeous on my hand. I can see this ring being a part of my "signature" look as an everyday accessory. Maybe even my very own, "right hand ring". Who knows, but this is a much desired piece of jewelry in my house.

Moving on to..

Just Who Will You Be? by Maria Shriver Retail Price: $14.95

I've seen Maria on a few shows talking about this book and what it is all about and I am really interested in reading it. I think it is going to be interesting to explore her thoughts from her perspective of the issues that so many people deal with everyday...the issues of figuring out "self". I've gotta get it! By the way, has anyone noticed that her hair is THA' business? Hey hey...if something looks good to me, I'm gonna go ahead and say it.

Continuing...

Bang & Olufsen A8 Headphones Retail Price: $159.95

After much back and forth debate of what type headphones I'd like to have for my iPod, I think I've come to this decision. I want quality sound and comfort and these seem to be the best route to go. Although I have not heard the sound quality of these particular headphones, I'll trust that the reputable name and good reviews will be accurate. The $159, I'm still workin' on though...but wouldn't they be nice to have?

Finally..

Loews Miami Beach Hotel Nightly Rates: $359-$775

Yes..yes...I've been talking about a vacation for a long time now and hopefully I'll get a real vacation this year. Looking at this room and view, I don't even have to go with anyone...that's enough to take in all by myself. My mind and body is screaming for this! Umm...I can almost feel it now...laying in that bed with the balcony door open, listening to the billows caressing the beach while being soothed my the cool breeze racing from it..ummm..ok...ok...but wouldn't it be lovely?

Anyway, it feels like the summer is finally here. It's May already. Let the summer chapters begin...

My Wish List for February

Ok, here I am back to my favorite post of the month. My wish list! Can you say......yay........? Anyway....check out what made my list this month. Fun!

First on the list is......drum roll please..........

Play Station 3 Retail Price $399-$499

Yes, yes...I love this machine! This is home entertainment at its finest! The only downfall to having such an item is if you're an individual who has things that you HAVE to do. Whew! This could be a deadly distraction!

Next on the list...

Juicy Couture Velour Raglan Jacket with Piping and Juicy Couture Velour Track Pants
Retail Prices: Jacket $158 Pants $128

I mean what can I say about this? Sexy, comfortable and relatively affordable. I have a feeling that these are going to be two of my most desired items on the list this month.

Ok..next

Reposition Yourself: Living Life Without Limits by T.D. Jakes
Retail Price: $24.00

This piece of literature is a must for everyone's library. It is so refreshing and inspirational and gives very practical idealistic views of how to really take responsibility for your life and gain power. After all, that is the huge obstacle that hinders most of us....not being able to reposition ourselves to live life from a different shelf and gain some power.

Moving on....
MICHAEL Michael Kors Men's Hinged Crocodile Band Watch Retail Price: $125.00

Ok...yes....YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS! I'm through!

Finally on this list.....is.....

Janet's new album Discipline Release date: February 26th

This cd is already bought in the spirit. As a matter of fact, the concert tickets are bought too! I've gotta have it!

My Wish List for January

Ok, so it is no secret that I like "things" and not just anything but "nice things". My wish list is composed of things that I think would just be great to have! So, what made my list this month?

Apple iMac Retail value $1199 - $2299

All I'm going to say is....go to your nearest Apple store and check it out!

Next on the list....

Gucci Black Suede Oversized Travel Tote Retail value $2365.00

I mean....need I say more? This takes "carry-on bag" to the next level. As a matter of fact, this "carry-on bag" is so hot that they probably wouldn't even let me carry it on!

Moving on...

2008 Mercedes Benz GL550 MSRP $77,750

Ok, I'm a fan of quite a few luxury SUV's but after taking a ride in this vehicle, it's clear. This is the SUV for 2008. This automobile rides so smoothly and luxuriously that I thought I was riding in a car. There was minimum interior vibration or movement even at interstate speeds. It felt like the vehicle was parked. I don't even want to get on the technology.

What's next?

The Beyonce Experience Live DVD Retail value $12.99

I will never miss another Beyonce concert held in Atlanta after seeing this DVD. The performances were extremely entertaining and full of energy. This DVD gets played once a week in my house.

Moving on...

Barefoot Dreams® CozyChic™ Robe Retail value $140.00

If only you could feel how heavy and soft this robe is. With these drastic temperatures, this garment has more than enough to keep you warm.

Finally...

January 2008 Issue of Essence Magazine

If you are one of those individuals, like myself, who has made the decision to reposition your life for this new year then this issue of Essence is for you. Even if you're only considering the repositioning of your life, this month's issue is a great read and will leave you inspired to take the steps needed to getting the life you want and deserve.
